Casale Monferrato: the city celebrates non only wine…

Food and wine, art, music, sports, nature... September in Casale Monferrato will surprise you for the variety of events. The main moment will be the Festival of Wine Monferrato with the food and wines of the territory, the entertainments and the musical events of Folkermesse (from 15 to 17 and from 22 to 24). A lot of events await you throughout the month: on Saturday 2 will take place "Cinema Effect - music and film to project" and "Tennis in the Square".

On Sunday, 3, OlistiCasale, dedicated to holistic disciplines, and "Let's kick the earthquake" with supportive football. On Thursday 7th, there will be "I run for Pica", playful walking, while on Saturday 9th will return the “Rose Night” with open shops and bars in the streets of downtown and with the Civic Museum which will propose the afternoon trip "Wikigita" and free entrance in the evening. Opening also for the the Monferrato Regional Wine shop at the Castle with tastings with women producers. From Saturday 9th to Sunday 10th there will be the National Football Tournament Umberto Caligaris (very young category) with a parade of majorettes. On September 9 and 10, the National Volleyball Women's Volleyball Championship will take pleace. On Sunday, 10 you’ll find the "FEST! Ethics, Aesthetics, Ecology at the Eternot Park " and on Friday 15, will take place the prizegiving for the Wine Competition “Torchio d’Oro”. On Saturday 16th you can visit the artistical exhibition "Tavolozza Settembrina" and assist to the traditional pyrotechnic show.

From 16th to 24th, tennis is the protagonist of the "Zerbinati Cup - City of Casale - Memorial Giuseppe Manfredi". On Sunday 17th you can take part to the Race of the Barcè on the Po and the national volleyball "14 Teen" Under 14 tournament. On 17th and 24th you can take part to the "Doc Monferrato Typical and Shopping" with shopping, artists and hobbyists. But September will bring also #SPOTR, moment of music diffused by a truck in silent disc mode, the conference about "Stefano Guazzo and the Civic Conversation at the age of twenty years old from the Convention of the Courts of Europe and the 450th anniversary of the coming to Casale di Vespasiano Gonzaga" and the guided tour of the Civic Museum with a wine tasting called "The Collection of paintings by Angelo Morbelli between Landscape and Genre Scenes" (on Saturday 23). On Sunday 24, in Rosignano Monferrato will open Villa Maria, the studio house of the artist Morbelli (in Colma) with the opening of the “Big Bench Rosso Grignolino”, the first panoramic bench in the Unesco Casalese site. And then there are many exhibitions inside the Monferrato Castle: Casale and Monferrato in Lite Luzzati's Pencil, The Beautiful Trail, Ecotourism Architectures in Monferrato (September 2), and Monferrato of the Infernot (September 9), Criminological Art (from 16 September). From the 22nd to the 24th of September there will also be an exhibition of vintage tractors.
