September: where if it’s not in Monferrato?

The time when the summer mneets the autumn is one of the most fascinating in the villages of the land between the Po plain and the UNESCO wine hills of Monferrato.

Are you a lover of art?

In Pontestura, at the Museum Depot, the exhibition "The game of art" continues with works and dolls of Enrico Colombotto Rosso's collection, while in Camino it is possible to visit the Enrico Colombotto Rosso Museum House (open on September 3 and October 1). On September 10, in Treville reopens the Mario Surbone Civic Collection, anthological with works from 1946 to 2012, and is offered the meeting "Neuroscience can help us better understand the art?" In Fubine is expected the event "Monferrato Infernot - Mate", on 15th September, that will perform live paintings and sculpture performances with jazz music and exceptional tastes while on September 17th will be the day dedicated to the opening of the infernots (historical cellars) in municipalities such as Ozzano Monferrato, Sala Monferrato, Treville, Cella Monte, Rosignano Monferrato , Terruggia, Camagna Monferrato, Ponzano Monferrato, Vignale Monferrato and Fubine. In Terruggia you will visit the infernots thanks to the Attraverso Festival (on 2, 3, 9 and 10 September). In Pecetto di Valenza, on Saturday can be visited the Temporary Exhibition of Fossils and Minerals while on September 23 and 24 it is possible to take part to guided tours at the Castle of San Giorgio Monferrato. On September 24, in Breme returns with the "Romanesque in Lomellina".

 

And if you like music?

The tour of musical events begins on September 3 in Treville with the organ concert in the parish church of Sant'Ambrogio, one of the most traditional events in Monferrato's artistic program dedicated to musician Angelo Surbone. Also, do not miss the exhibitions of "Rondò in Monferrato" that will take place also in Moncalvo, Casale Monferrato from 9 to 18 September as well as the events of the Monferrato Classic Festival on 10, 17 and 24 September in Vignale Monferrato and on October 1 in Terruggia. In September also opens the autumn season of "Bacco & Bach", the International Music and Wine Festival with the first two events set on 10 (at Cascina Cerola in Altavilla Monferrato) and on 16 (in Casale Monferrato).

But in September, there are so many open-air food and entertainment events.

For example, in San Giorgio Monferrato on Sunday 3, you will find the event "Four Passes Among Our Wines" with walks, wine tastings and specialties, cultural events, music and entertainment. Throughout the month of September, from the first weekend, you will be welcomed with a myriad of initiatives by the village of San Salvatore thanks to the "Settembre Sansalvatorese" which will bring concerts, sport events and the gastronomic show "Regionando". In the Castle of Gabiano on  24 will take place "Welcome Harvest" with tour of visit and lunch while in Rosignano returns the "Harvest in Art". And if astronomical observation attracts you, in Odalengo Piccolo you can reach, on 2, 12, 17 and 23 September, the Astronomical Observatory that will be open.
